The Department of Housing (DOH), on behalf of the County of San Mateo as a qualifying jurisdiction, receives HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding from US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to build, buy and/or rehabilitate affordable housing.  HOME is the largest Federal block grant to local governments designed exclusively to create affordable housing for low-income households.

Attached is a chart of Affordable Housing projects funded through the HOME Program in San Mateo County during the period of 2003 thru 2014 along with a map of those projects throughout the County.

Most of these projects also qualify for low-income tax credit programs through the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (or "TCAC") which gives incentives for the use of private equity in the development of affordable housing.  Also attached is a map showing the projects funded with 9% tax credits and 4% tax credits in San Mateo County.
