Prompted by the current affordable housing crisis in San Mateo County and recognizing that this crisis calls for innovative approaches, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors (BOS) appropriated $500,000 of Measure A funds to the HOUSING INNOVATION FUND.  The Department of Housing issued an RFP (Request for Proposals) for the utilization of this fund.  18 proposals were received seeking in excess of $2,000,000

Attached below please find a chart listing all 18 proposals and showing how the $500,000 was recommended to be distributed among 5 of the proposals.  It was also recommended that a sixth proposal be funded using other funding (from the Housing Rehab Revolving Loan Fund).  There is also a summary attached below on the 6 recommended proposals.
